Economic crime is a global concern and the emergence of economic offenders is a general phenomenon. In our country, there have been several instances of economic offenders fleeing the clutches of law whenever they perceive any criminal proceeding is going to be initiated. Economic offenses, such as counterfeiting of currency, financial scams, fraud, money laundering, etc. are crimes which evoke serious concern and impact on the Nation’s security and governance. This has placed both the government and the legal fraternity in a dilemma as to how to prevent the occurrence of such instances and also to prevent such persons from fleeing the country.

To highlight more on this, Shri Rathore would be discussing on various topics like the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code- 2016, The Fugitive Economic Offenders Act 2018 and The Prohibition of Benami Property Transaction Act 1988 (Amended 2016).
