IIM Indore to organize a special panel discussion

Dr. Saikat Majumdar is Professor of English and Creative Writing at Ashoka University. He was educated in India and the US, and taught for several years at Stanford University before returning to India. He is author, most recently, of College: Pathways of Possibility (Bloomsbury, 2018), a general-audience book on undergraduate education in India. He is the recipient of grants and fellowships from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute for Advanced Studies at JNU, The University of Chicago, and the Humanities Center at Stanford University.
Dr. Majumdar was recently named a Fellow at the Newhouse Center of Humanities at Wellesley College.


Dr. Kapil Ahuja is an Associate Professor in Computer Science and Engineering and Dean of International Affairs at IIT Indore (India). Earlier, he completed a postdoc under Prof. Peter Benner at Max Planck Institute in Magdeburg (Germany) and his PhD and MS are from Virgina Tech (USA). His work is in the field of Computational Science and Engineering. This encompasses use of Mathematics and Computer Science to solve Science and Engineering problems.


Prof Nirmala Menon is an Associate Professor of Postcolonial Literature at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore India. She has previously taught at  St Anselm College, New Hampshire USA and the George Washington University, Washington DC. She is the project lead for the Open Access Publishing KSHIP at the institute. She also heads the Digital Humanities and Publishing Research Group (DHPRG) at the institute and is one of the founding members of the Digital Humanities Alliance of India.


Dr. A.K. Singh is currently the Director In-charge at EMRC, DAVV, Indore and has about 26 years of rich professional experience in different aspects of teaching & training, research & development and educational administration in various capacities. He has contributed substantially in the fields of Media Production and Broadcast, and Media Education through various academic assignments and achievements including publications in the form documentaries, e-content, research papers, and articles etc. Dr. A.K. Singh has been bestowed with several honors and awards such as MP young Scientist Award, UGC –CEC national and international awards for research.


Professor Rishikesha T. Krishnan is Director and Professor of Strategic Management at the Indian Institute of Management Indore, India. From 1996 to 2013, Professor Krishnan was a member of the faculty at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB), India. Professor Krishnan was a Visiting Scholar at the Center for the Advanced Study of India, University of Pennsylvania (Fall 2008), and at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad (2011-12). He held the Jamuna Raghavan Chair in Entrepreneurship at IIMB from 2007-10. Professor Krishnan’s main areas of interest are strategy and innovation. He was listed among the Thinkers50 India most influential thinkers in management from India (2013) and jointly received the special Thinkers50 India Innovation award (2013). Earlier, he received the Dewang Mehta Award for Best Teacher in Strategic Management in 2010.Professor Krishnan has served on a number of committees set up by the Government of India, Nasscom and CII related to innovation in India, including the juries for the Nasscom and CII Innovation awards.Professor Krishnan writes extensively, and has more than 140 publications spanning outlets that include refereed journals, the popular press, case studies, book chapters, and books. These include two books on innovation: From Jugaad to Systematic Innovation: The Challenge for India, published in February 2010 and 8 Steps to Innovation: Going from Jugaad to Excellence (co-authored with Vinay Dabholkar, and published by Harper Collins in March 2013). The latter won the Best Book Award 2013-14 from the Indian Society for Training and Development.Professor Krishnan is an alumnus of IIT Kanpur, Stanford University and IIM Ahmedabad.
