IIM Indore: Atharv - Day 3

8th September marked the third day of Integrated Programme in Management, IIM Indore’s annual cultural, management and literary fest-Atharv’19. The fest took place at the IIM Indore campus from 6th to 8th September, 2019. The first two days of the fest witnessed many management and literary events, spanning over the fields of leadership, marketing, business plans, journalism, mock trials and case studies. In addition, the various cultural events like Halla Bol, Vanity- the fashion show, Crescendo- the acoustic music event, and Delirium- the battle of bands were concluded.


The third day kicked off with Verve, the group dance event, where teams from Christ, DAV College, and SCMS Noida and many other colleges performed. This was followed by Bailar, the solo/duet dance event, where teams from SCMS Noida, BSSS, MANIT, Christ University took part. The finals of ISO were conducted, which was judged by Mr. Sanjeet Chouhan, Atharv’19’s events coverage partner, who stood second in National Geographic’s Travel Story Competition. Permadeath took place simultaneously, where the participants played PUBG-Mobile. The finals of Vignette, the filmmaking competition, HeadhunteR- the HR Event, Finopoly- the finance event, Inter Varsity Debate, Khoj- the journalism event, Game of Shadows- the game theory event, Imperium- the case study event and Chaitanya- the leadership event were conducted. Pragnya- the Business Quiz and Clash of Cults, the pop-culture quiz were conducted by quizmaster Mr. Thejaswi Udupa, CTO at, a real-estate company by the Hindu Group.


The founder and CEO of Dare2Compete, Ankit Aggarwal hosted a talk for the participants and the IIM-I community, where he talked about “The importance of risk taking in Entrepreneurship.” A workshop on Social Marketing was also conducted. Numerous informal events like the bungee run, haunted house, human jenga and paint ball were conducted in association with R.A.P.V. Riders.


The fest was concluded after the Punjabi Bollywood Night presented by 9XO Bharat Bass Festival. The show was opened by Ms. Mallika Mehta, the Adele of Mumbai. Mr. Indeep Bakshi- the person behind various Bollywood hits like “Saturday-Saturday” and “Kaala Chashma” was the main act for the night. The comfort of the guests was taken care of by Sayaji, our hospitality partner.
