1st Day of UTSAHA - The Rural Marketing Fest by IIM Indore

The 11th edition of Utsaha has started in Janapav Kutti and will span for a period of two days till 12th November, 2019. The title sponsor is Yellow Diamond in association with Yono, SBI.


This year Utsaha was associated with diverse companies like FICCI, Cream Bell, PespiCo, Tata Motors and Prataap Snacks.  The fest took place at the Annual Kartika Poornima mela that was happening in the village. The event started at about 11:00 PM with the sarpanch Mrs. Kavita Patidar addressing the gathering alongside Prof. Abhishek Mishra, Faculty, IIM Indore. As the event started with excitement, the residents of Janapav Kuti thronged different stalls to have a try at the interesting activities designed for them. The set was vibrant and colourful, and in turn, attracted people of all age groups.


The sarpanch graced the inauguration alongside her husband Mr. Sushil Patidar. Her husband said, “ It is important to encourage the creators of our country” and that “Learning is of great importance!”. Prof. Abhishek Mishra who has been associated with Utsaha for a long period of time, said that,”Utsaha is a step towards fulfilling a major step in the mission of IIM Indore that is creating socially conscious managers” and that, “People from the cities are also working towards making a difference in the lives of rural residents these days.”
