WHATSAPP continues to be the world's most popular messaging service and this latest news from the Facebook-owned firm will have its rivals weeping.
It wasn't that long ago that WhatsApp announced its service was being used by one billion people every month.
Now it seems the messaging service has continued its growth in popularity with the Facebook-owned firm just revealing one billion people now use it every single day.

WhatsApp was originally launched in 2009 by ex Yahoo! employees Brian Acton and Jan Koum.
However, in 2014 the service was purchased by Facebook for a staggering $19.3billion and since then its user numbers have flourished.
Now this latest news cements its place as one of the most popular apps ever created.
As well as one billion people using the app, WhatsApp has also released statistics showing 55 billion messages and 4.5 billion photos are shared per day.

Revealing the latest news in a blog post, WhatsApp said: "Just last year, we shared that one billion people around the world use WhatsApp every month.
"Today, we are excited and proud to share that one billion people around the world use WhatsApp every day to stay in touch with their family and friends.
