A brief status of TAPMI’s initiatives on global business school linkages is given below:  

  • Taking another step towards nurturing future managers with a global mindset, TAPMI signed an MoA with Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Manila on November 12th, 2010.

    This paves way for the institutes to work together on students and faculty exchange programs and also collaborative research projects. The other institutes with which AIM, Manila has exchange programs in India are IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta and XLRI, Jamshedpur.
  • A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed with Sheffield Hallam University, UK for student and faculty exchanges. The first student exchange under this MoU is scheduled during September-December, 2009, under which five TAPMI PGDM students will visit and study at the Sheffield Hallam University.

  • The MoU with Oakland University, Michigan, USA was renewed in January, 2007. TAPMI and Oakland’s School of Business Administration have planned to work on a global team project for students during the Spring semester.

  • A MoU between Hoshule Darmsadt University of Applied Science, Hesse, Germany, The University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, and T A Pai Management Institute, Manipal facilitates offering a joint Global MBA program.

  • TAPMI is collaborating with St. Mary’s college, California, USA for a program on the business environment in India. A cohort of 21 members participating in St. Mary’s Trans-Global MBA program and who are also senior executives of US companies will attend the customized program offered by TAPMI. This program is a unique blend of class room sessions and industry visits for 2 days (August 13-14, 2009).

  • Faculty collaborations for research at individual level with Quinnipiac University, Connecticut, USA, Wakeforest University, NC, and Emory University, Atlanta in the US are underway.

  • TAPMI is also in talks with University, New Zealand, Glamorgan Business School, UK and the Luleå University of Technology, Sweden for academic linkages.
