sir i got placed in campus recruitment in THE SOUTH INDIAN BANK LTD as probationary officer(Scale 1) yet to receive my offer letter....
Query 1----->shall i take up the job.... how about the growth opportunities in banking career after 2 or 3 years of experience will i be able to get jobs in banks like Axis, ICICI, Citibank etc......if i can go to these banks what kind of salary growth i can expect....i want to work in these kind of banks sir so that i can have a challenging work environment and more i have lots of interest to work in these banks......
Query 2-------->i hold a ug degree in B.E(CSE)......am more interested to do SAP in FI or CO will this bank experience be counted for doing SAP.......My dad is a FCA i also have 1.5 years of experience in auditing by being a part of his auditing team to banks and companies....
Query 3------->so to do SAP certification in FI or CO how shall i proceed......shall i go to the job or be with dad for 2 years for practical training then do SAP certification.....Which route is better......
am more interested in SAP not because of the salary sir.... from my engineering i have more passion to be a consultant in management software so only i did MBA after engineering.....
i also have a plan to do ICWA at least intermediate before SAP certification to gain knowledge as well as to have an advantage....so shall i do that by continuing in the bank job or with my dad.....
eagerly expecting a valuable reply from u sir to proceed in my career......

You should undoubtedly go for PO job.
Don't go for all these SAP and all as these are followed by every tom, dick and harry.
Since you are an engineer with finance background, I recommend you go for FRM. Visit www.garp.org for more details. No finance career can match this qualification globally. Use of your skills and brilliance for better tomorrow. |

thank u so much sir for ur kind reply......u had given me new career path (FRM) for me which sounds to be so interesting and challenging sir.......and more over it covers the subject which am very interested to study....ll completely go through the GARP site about FRM and clarify my doubts with u sir.......shall i initially start preparing on my own with the materials available in the market and in internet or attending classes in the beginning is a good way to start then proceed on my own sir.......
